Position and Responsibilities
As a key member of Cameco’s production team, chemical operators are responsible for the safe operation of the UF6 chemical plant. Working a continental shift, you will monitor areas of the UF6 production process, control process start-up and shut down, troubleshoot process/equipment issues and maintain facility housekeeping standards. You will adjust equipment, valves, pumps and controls to ensure production commitments are achieved safe, efficient and in compliance with operating procedures.
Education and Qualifications
- Possess a post-secondary diploma in chemical or power engineering technology or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a continuous processing environment
- Mechanically inclined (assessments will be conducted)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven critical thinking ability
- Strong computer skills
- Clear background check
