The Science & Technology Business Management Office (S&T BMO) at the Chalk River Laboratories (CRL) provides project management of research and development (R&D) projects for the Canadian nuclear industry. The S&T BMO team consists of project leaders, project control coordinators, business planners, and project administrators that support research scientists and engineers as they execute unique technical scopes of work.
This position is an exciting opportunity for a student to grow their learning in the areas of project and business management as it relates to research projects in the Science & Technology industry. Students will have an opportunity to work with project management professionals and engage in the coordination of S&T BMO activities, enabling them to grow their skills for future employment opportunities.

What you will be doing:
- Gathering information on current good practices for business planners and project leads.
- Documenting these current practices as training material.
- Developing SharePoint sites for the storage of this documentation.
- Developing new processes for gathering project information on SharePoint Site.
- Supporting business planners and project leads, as required.
- Other duties as required.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Completed at least the first year of study at a college of recognized standing in Business Administration or Business Management.
Experience
- Experience related to software such as the MSOffice suite of programs and SharePoint will be considered when reviewing applications.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills will be an asset.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Location:
CNL works with employees across Canada to enable a remote workforce where possible. Our work-from-home employees are provided with the equipment required to be successful: laptop, monitor, external keyboard and mouse, etc. Of course, we always love a visit to the site when possible!
