Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role
As a key member of the Maintenance Leadership Team, the Senior Planner, Maintenance, will be responsible for leading the maintenance planning team in contributing to operational excellence of the Key Lake operation. You have a strong working knowledge of maintenance planning best practices and of the maintenance work requirements of a mining or milling facility.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a multi-craft team of planners to consistently and efficiently create work plans that improve efficiencies of job execution that contribute to the overall reliability of site
- Ensure maintenance activities are effectively scheduled to ensure optimum availability of equipment, through proper coordination with multiple groups on site including operations, site services, and others
- Interpret key performances indicators and reports to identify opportunities for improvement within the maintenance process Work with the Maintenance Leadership Team to continually improve effective and efficient operation of the Maintenance department
Required:
- Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial Journeyperson trade certificate or technologist diploma or equivalent
- Five to Seven years of related experience in an industrial setting
- Previous Planning experience
- Effective verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills, working with various levels in the organization
- Strategic approach to team building and development
- Experience with a computer maintenance management system such as SAP
- Work an irregular rotation schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification or similar
- Operational Reliability and/or Sig Sigma training
