Training & Development Analyst – Onboarding

The Training & Onboarding Lead will report to the Supervisor, Onboarding and Development, and will be responsible for leading the coordination and strategic development of the onboarding and orientation of new Candu employees. This includes overseeing the coordination with multiple departments to ensure that all new employees have the tools and training they need to succeed in their careers with Candu Energy.
This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.
Your role within the team:
- Lead and maintain the New Hire Listing using data provided by the Human Resources team.
- Ensure delivery of an exemplary Week 1 Orientation to New Staff members, ensuring employees have systems/training access and an understanding of structures/culture.
- Update and enhance content in the Employee Orientation presentation by collaborating with other support departments (HR, HSE, Security, Communications, IT).
- Regularly review and update the Onboarding Procedure and employee tools such as the Employee Handbook, Nucleus Training Webpage and/or additional web-based resources.
- Develop and deliver Onboarding Manager Expectations process to current managers to ensure onboarding processes and timelines are understood and implemented.
- Track and Analyze onboarding metrics to identify trend and areas of improvement, deliver strategic reports and recommended improvements to the Training Management team. Report successes and challenges regarding the onboarding process to the Onboarding Manger as required.
- Troubleshoot and innovate onboarding processes through automation and system alignment.
- Mentor and guide the Onboarding Coordinator in their weekly tasks.
- Support the Training team on collective initiatives and various tasks.
- Support the Training department with continuous improvement initiatives as requested.
Weekly tasks:
- Ensure IT tickets are submitted for outstanding equipment and account access including follow-up and issues resolution.
- Update and distribute a list of upcoming new employees to the Onboarding Team and Hiring Managers.
- Create and provide new employees with a complete package of company-branded items, login credentials, employee tools, and the onboarding presentation.
- Work with various departments to resolve issues that arise during the onboarding process.
- Ensure the preparation and set-up of the onboarding room before the start of the Orientation, including ordering of refreshments and coordination of presenters.
- Present common information at the Employee Orientation session.
