About the role:
MDA Geospatial Services provides Earth observation satellite data from commercially available radar and optical satellites with focus on Canada's RADARSAT-2 satellite. These products and services are used globally for resource mapping, environmental monitoring, offshore oil and gas exploration, ice reconnaissance, maritime surveillance and disaster management.
The Client Services Representative works directly with our international customers to provide solutions to their geospatial information requirements. Working in a team environment at the heart of our operations, the Client Services Representative develops solutions, plans satellite data acquisitions and ensures our high standards of service and quality are maintained. Our market is global, which provides opportunities with international reach, and occasional opportunities for travel. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service for MDA customers, taking and fulfilling orders for MDA satellite data
- Provide clients with information regarding MDA satellite imagery, applications, products and services to suit their requirements.
- Project and account management responsibilities, including client communication, project coordination and delivery oversite.
- Generate accurate technical and financial proposals for geospatial data, based on customer requirements, and prepare confirmed orders for data
- Place orders and follow through to successful completion
- Develop and implement satellite acquisition plans to optimize satellite resources taking into account commercial priorities and regulatory requirements
- Communicate with international sales teams on customer needs and provide support to Finance and Network Stations Groups
- Provide support to management for the execution of major projects.
- Supports the department through continuous improvements to processes
- Represents MDA with customers, suppliers and partners
- Must be available for rotating on-call work
Requirements (experience/skills):
- BSc. in Geography, Science, Physics, Earth or Environmental Science or equivalent related field and experience
- Good communication skills, both written and oral, including technical writing and presentation skills
- Ability to manage project scope, timelines, priorities and deliverables effectively.
- Self motivator with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical aptitude, adaptable to change with high attention to detail
- Ability to develop a thorough knowledge and use of internal software for order management
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with some supervision regarding complex contracts/assignments
- Experience in a client services environment is an asset
- Experience in project and account management within client-facing environment.
- Strong general computing skills
- Ability in programming languages is an asset
- Travel may be required

The compensation range for this position is $48,000- $65,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate
