Projects Collaboration Director
AtkinsRéalis is one of Canada's largest private sector nuclear engineering groups. We have been providing a wide range of services to the nuclear industry in Canada and around the world since for more than 60 years. We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.
Location – Mississauga, ON
With Candu Energy Inc. in a dynamic phase of growth and opportunity, the Project Delivery function manages the crucial enterprise-wide responsibility for orchestrating people, processes, and tools to enable scalable, disciplined execution. Serving as the operational backbone of the organization, Project Delivery ensures that delivery standards are upheld, resources are mobilized effectively, and cross-functional collaboration is fostered. This function drives alignment and consistency across a rapidly expanding portfolio of complex initiatives, enabling Candu to maintain strategic advantage, seize emerging opportunities, and uphold quality. By investing in and strengthening this capability, the organization cultivates a culture of accountability, agility, and impact—empowering teams to deliver with precision and purpose in a fast-evolving environment.
We are seeking a Projects Collaboration Director (PCD) within the Project Delivery team. Reporting to the Vice President, Project Delivery, the PCD will serve as a key leadership resource responsible for facilitating collaboration initiatives across Candu’s projects and portfolios. This role is designed to enable and support project teams, particularly through assigned project representatives, who will lead and capitalize on project-specific opportunities. The PCD will work closely with project, business, and subcontractor stakeholders to identify scope synergies, support the packaging of work, and ensure assignments are structured for efficient execution by internal teams or external partners.
A critical aspect of this role is the ability to simplify and regularly report collaboration activities and outcomes to senior management, providing clear visibility into progress, challenges, and strategic alignment. The PCD will also be responsible for identifying and reporting on collaboration efforts across the broader nuclear sector, surfacing opportunities for cross-project efficiencies and shared value creation. The ideal candidate is open, flexible, and resilient, capable of navigating challenges and setbacks with a constructive mindset—learning from experience and moving forward with clarity and purpose. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of Candu technologies, and a strategic eye for identifying and acting on opportunities. The position involves periodic domestic and international travel to maintain direct engagement with project sites and global partners.
As Candu continues to scale rapidly to meet present and future demands, securing the right talent is essential. While domestic resources growth remains strong, our delivery needs exceed local capacity, making it critical to globalize our workforce and leverage the broader AtkinsRéalis network and other subcontractor entities. The PCD will play a central role in enabling this expansion, bridging internal project needs with external execution capabilities, optimizing resource deployment, and strengthening delivery outcomes.
In addition to driving collaboration, the PCD will periodically support strategic functional assignments that reinforce the effectiveness of the Project Delivery function.
