We are looking for a proactive and motivated BIM Coordinator to join our BIM team dedicated to infrastructure, rail, and transportation projects across Canada. This role is essential to ensure the management, coordination, and quality of BIM data, in compliance with standards and by optimizing processes for multidisciplinary projects.
Your Role
- Coordinate the integration of discipline-specific models into the project’s federated model.
- Identify conflicts or inconsistencies in federated models and communicate them to design teams for resolution.
- Prepare and update coordination files, ensuring compliance with project standards.
- Organize BIM coordination reviews and document technical issues to follow up on.
- Verify the consistency of federated models with BEP requirements and project standards.
- Collaborate with discipline teams to improve modeling and coordination practices.
- Contribute to documenting coordination processes in the project’s collaborative tools.
- Participate in implementing the BEP in line with coordination objectives.
- Stay up to date on BIM tools and methods and propose technical improvements.
About You
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management. BIM certification is an asset.
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in BIM coordination on infrastructure, rail, or construction projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in major BIM software (modeling and coordination platforms).
- Experience in managing and integrating federated models and clash detection.
- In-depth knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650, BEP, LOD) and collaborative processes.
- Ability to organize, document, and update coordination files and processes in collaborative platforms.
- Scripting skills (Dynamo, Python) are a plus.
- Languages: French and English required (spoken and written).
- Personal Qualities:
- Excellent communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail, rigor, and strong organizational skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactivity and initiative.
**This position requires knowledge of another language besides French, namely English, as the work produced is intended for audiences located elsewhere in Canada, internationally, or in another region of the world.
