McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role
As part of the McArthur River’s Human Resources (HR) department, you will be responsible for administering human resources services for the site. Working with Human Resources, site management and supervisors, you will be responsible for matters relating to employee and labour relations, site recruitment activities, workforce planning and the delivery of human resources and employment benefits programs. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in Human Resources.
This is a 12-month temporary position.
In this role, you will:
- Act as support for front line leadership through employee coaching and mediation processes.
- Ensure access and understanding of corporate human resources programs and resources.
- Manage employee onboarding, creating a smooth, positive transition for employees.
- Assist in the management of employee performance and attendance.
- Encourage the adoption and sharing of best practices in employee relations.
- Work with the administration group to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
Required:
- bachelor’s degree in business, with a specialization in human resources;
- up to three years of relevant work experience;
- equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
- strong interpersonal, communication and coaching skills; and
- work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:
- CPHR designation; and
- Experience using HR management information systems, specifically Success Factors.

The McArthur River operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
