McArthur River
McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
The Role
As a site services operator at McArthur River, you will be responsible for operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain the site, roads and airport in a safe and effective manner. You will also assist in training and monitoring junior operators and provide support to other trades on site.
Required:
- grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
- a minimum of Three to five years of relevant work experience;
- experience on dozer, backhoes, graders, vac trucks, large loaders;
- willingness to perform manual labour as required; and
- work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:
- valid class 1A driver’s license;
- mobile crane operating experience; and
- b-train experience.
Conditions of Employment:
- pre-employment substance test.
