This is an excellent opportunity for a long-term career in the nuclear manufacturing industry! We are currently looking for a safety conscious, highly motivated, creative and reliable Millwright to join our Technical Services Team!
Position and Responsibilities
Located in the Cobourg plant and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the position typically involves the following activities:
- Safely troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
- Perform planned preventive and predictive maintenance on a variety of plant equipment.
- Improve equipment reliability and overall effectiveness through timely maintenance interventions.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities including labour, parts, and materials in the SAP asset management system.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency.
- Support a 24/7 production environment by participating in scheduled maintenance and responding to occasional emergency calls.
- Work a rotating 3-shift schedule to ensure coverage across all operating hours.
Education and Qualifications
- Valid Ontario (433A) Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate of Qualification or Interprovincial Red Seal License
- Completion of Apprenticeship as a millwright with relevant work experience or five years of relevant work experience as a Licensed Millwright.
Assets:
- Proficient welding skills (Mig, Tig, Arc)
- Computer / SAP skills
- Experience working with and troubleshooting Electrical controls.
- Understanding and experience with HVAC systems.
- Troubleshooting industrial appliances such as janitorial and laundry equipment.
- Experience servicing and troubleshooting industrial air compressors.
- Plumbing / Piping experience with copper, iron, stainless and PVC.
- Experience working with powered lift trucks and mobile equipment.
