The Project Engineering Coordinator will join the Engineering Management practice within the Technical Professional Organization (TPO) of Engineering Services Canada. The Project Engineering coordinator will play a support role in the delivery of Engineering Services on large and complex projects (generally Class 3, 4 & 5 projects ranging from $1M to > $20M) while also supporting the growth of the Engineering Management practice.
Reporting to the Director of Operations of the Engineering Management practice, the Project Engineering Coordinator will be assigned to support the Project Engineering Manager on large, multi-disciplinary transit projects from the design phase to completion. The role involves contributing to the development of engineering strategies, coordinating design deliverables, and ensuring alignment across technical disciplines and stakeholders.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Project Delivery, Technical TPO, and external stakeholders—to facilitate the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions that meet client expectations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a solid foundation in engineering principles, and experience supporting complex infrastructure projects.
Your role
About you
Bachelor'S or Master's degree in engineering or a related discipline, with 5–8 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years supporting multi-disciplinary teams through planning, design, and delivery phases.
Registered Professional Engineer in Canada, and eligible for registration in multiple jurisdictions.
Strong coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to support and unify teams toward shared project goals.
Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing resources, and supporting delivery within budget and schedule.
Proficient in engineering software and tools relevant to transit infrastructure design.
Experience in rail & transit projects, particularly LRT, with knowledge of transit standards and urban integration is an asset.
Familiarity with regulatory environments and stakeholder coordination across municipal, provincial, and federal levels.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences (both French and English are an asset).
Bilingual: English French (*). If you are outside the province of Quebec, knowledge of English is required, and French is an asset.
(*) This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, because you would be required to collaborate with team members based outside of Québec.
