The Document Control Coordinator is located in Pickering and typically reports directly to the Quality Assurance Lead. This is a vital support role within the Quality Assurance department as a central hub for departmental support functions. This position contributes significantly to the continuous improvement processes and is dedicated to maintaining the highest service quality excellence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains and updates electronic engineering and project filing tracking system and performs quality checks on documents to verify completeness and conformity to document standards/ requirements.
- Creates, updates, scans, and maintains files, inventories, records, and other engineering and project documents as needed
- Coordinates with different departments to facilitate the document control process.
- Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents
- Other functions as assigned by the QA Manager

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- A Secondary Education Diploma would be beneficial in this position but not mandatory.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of Administrative and/or Document Control experience is considered an asset.
- Must have experience in Microsoft Office including expert knowledge in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- Experience in an office environment utilizing general office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners, printers, faxes and shredders.
- Experience with VenDM is considered an asset
- Experience in an engineering consulting firm is considered an asset.

COMPENSATION
The expected salary range for this role is between $50,000/annually and $65,000/annually. The starting salary will be based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education, experience and overall competencies. Salary is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package. Total rewards vary by position and may include additional offerings such as group insurance benefits, pension plan, annual performance bonus, and career development programs.
