Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role
As a representative of Cameco’s asset management & reliability center of excellence, and working closely with site and corporate leaders, you will lead and govern the implementation of Cameco’s operational reliability program at Key Lake, including establishing and sustaining a reliability‑centred culture.
You will own, maintain, and continuously improve the operational reliability master plan, communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to site leadership and steering teams, lead change management execution, and recommend strategic improvements based on data, observations, and organizational maturity.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the operational reliability master plan in collaboration with site and corporate leaders.
- Lead the development of short‑term operational reliability KPI targets and monitor performance against targets.
- Partner with communications and change management specialists to develop and execute an integrated change management strategy.
- Plan, chair, and facilitate regular governance, focus‑team, and site leadership meetings.
- Mentor and coach leaders, supervisors, and frontline employees through implementation and ongoing operational improvement.
- Develop executive‑quality presentations and present updates to site and corporate leadership.
Required:
- bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology in a relevant field or relevant industrial trade;
- a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in industrial operations, either in a maintenance or production role;
- equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
- proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams; and
- work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft (Monday-Thursday).
Recommended:
- a strong understanding of asset reliability management, ideally demonstrated through CMRP and/or MMP designation;
- knowledge of SAP-PM, MM;
- LEAN training, certification;
- knowledge of and experience in business process management / process-based management;
- knowledge of and experience with Organizational Change Management; and
- project management experience.
