Our Chalk River location is looking for a Security Support Control Maintainer to integrate hardware, software, and network components to ensure proper operation. What will you be doing!
- Completing preventative maintenance, installation and repair of Security equipment and systems.
- Calibrating equipment to ensure accurate functionality of equipment and instruments.
- Ordering parts required for stock, projects and repairs to ensure timely completion of work.
- Developing work plans and upgrades in procedures, and making recommendations for modifications to equipment or changes to maintenance programs to improve the reliability and efficiency of equipment.
- Preparing and maintaining service records for all completed and required work, ensuring consistent documentation and follow-up. Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- College diploma in Industrial Instrumentation or Electronics, or equivalent relevant experience, or a trade certificate in Instrumentation and Control.
- Experience
- Experience in reading and writing technical diagrams and drawings.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex software & hardware repairs and installations.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment; Trucks, Vans, ATV, Bucket Trucks, Lifts & Booms.
- Ability to attend temporary assignments to other CNL & AECL (Atomic Energy of Canada) sites.
- Knowledge of electronics, networking, computers, electrical, mechanical and radio frequency systems equipment and devices.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
- This position is part of the M&E (IBEW 586) and is governed by the terms and conditions outlined in the Collective Agreement. As a member of this bargaining unit, you’ll benefit from clear expectations around hours of work, wages, vacation, and other conditions that support a fair and consistent working environment.
- Working schedule:Five (5) days per week, eight (8) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week.
