About Us
Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
Position and Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of all gasoline, diesel and propane powered automotive equipment, buses and recreational vehicles on site.
- Perform inspections and service equipment as specified by preventative maintenance work orders as well as troubleshooting equipment failures.
- Assist the heavy-duty mechanics in the maintenance of other mobile equipment.
This is a six-month temporary position.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson automotive service technician certificate;
- five years of related work experience;
- Ford trained mechanic and Ford integrated diagnostic system experience;
- rim and tire safety training; and
- work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Assets:
- recreation vehicle service technician certificate;
- experience in an industrial mill or mining environment;
- heavy duty equipment technician certification; and
- SAP experience.
