Position and Responsibilities
As a member of the projects and construction group, you control and monitor various capital and expense projects at the conversion facility. You will manage the project scope as it relates to the engineering, procurement, construction and customer acceptance of projects in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the approved scope, budget and schedule.
Responsibilities include working with site customers to define business needs, develop conceptual solutions and get buy in from site stakeholders, present solution to management, develop detailed scope of work and costing, submit funding request, complete detailed engineering and develop scopes of work for equipment and installation, evaluate bids, complete installation, commission and turn over project, preparation of request for proposals, managing contracts and scheduling and progress reporting. You provide specialized technical information and guidance ensuring solutions are compliant with all applicable codes, Cameco procedures, standards and regulatory requirements. In this role you will have a number of smaller projects with a typical project budget of less than $1M.
Education and Qualifications
You have excellent communication skills, can work with minimal direction within a multi-discipline team, provide strong leadership, display initiative and are results-oriented.
Requirements of the position:

- Minimum of 10 years industrial experience
- Proven professional, hands on experience in the design and installation and commissioning of electrical, mechanical or piping systems
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario
Assets

- Experience gained from within a chemical or petro-chemical continuous operation
- Project Management Professional designation
- SAP experience, particularly with Project Systems
