Position and Responsibilities
As a controls engineer within our production team, you will be responsible for the technical oversight of the control systems in our facility. Acting as the subject matter expert on control systems, you will collaborate with instrument technicians, operators, engineers and IT to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Additionally, you will lead and drive various projects and initiatives to enhance our production processes.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a continuous process environment
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a preference for Chemical Engineering
- P.Eng or P.Eng eligible
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, demonstrating a self-starter attitude
- Commitment to safe work practices and sound judgment in all tasks
- Clear background check
Assets:
- Experience with SCADA, HMI and/or PLC systems
- Knowledge of process control within a a chemical processing environment
- Familiar with IT functions and best practices
