Onboarding/Training Coordinator, New Build

AtkinsRéalis is supporting a nuclear New Build Small Modular Reactor (SMR), the first of its kind built in the western hemisphere, and due to be on the grid by the end of this decade. We are looking for a talented Onboarding/Training Coordinator to help deliver a positive and effective on-boarding experience for the Project.
This is a permanent position who will functionally report internally to the Project Director, New Build, work with the execution manager on the Project. The Onboarding//Training Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and ensuring all new hires and newly assigned Project personnel complete the assigned training, request / receive proper security clearance and access to Project digital platforms, and coordinate with the Project distribution list owner. This role will also be notified of any off boarding required and expected to coordinate any associated actions with the Project, such as access removal from digital platforms.
This role will be based in Pickering, ON.
Your role within the team:
- Assign and support processing of the OPG security clearance, including coordination with OPG Security team and providing regular status update reports to Project stakeholders.
- Initiate OPG security clearance applications and be the POC for related questions.
- Initiate OPG security requests for building access or LAN accesses.
- Support access requests for Project Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
- Coordinate with OPG security for photos and to pick up security badges.
- Track and confirm completion of Clearance Renewals, ensuring employees maintain active clearance status.
- Work with HRBP to facilitate onboarding of all Project new hires.
- Schedule and communicate new hire training and be the POC for questions related to new hire training.
- Manage the onboarding training coordination and qualification maintenance for existing Project employees.
- Assign and track completion of required Project training.
- Support preparation and completion of record tracking for all Project training events.
- Support process for offboarding employees, including termination of badges and digital platform accesses.
- Additional duties and tasks as delegated by Manager.

The ideal candidate:
- Post secondary education in a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant onboarding experience.
- Knowledge of office process and procedures, equipment and filing systems.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an asset.
- Experience in an office environment.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
- Extremely detail oriented.

- Customers, suppliers, Project partners.
- Department functional managers.
- Project personnel.
Work Locations:
- Primary work location will be in either the Pickering, ON office or at the Project office in Oshawa, ON.
- Alternative work locations in both the field and office. Including: Mississauga, ON; Clarington, ON.
