Senior Engineering Manager, Interferences and Services, Pickering RFBR

The Interferences and Services Senior Engineering Manager will lead and oversee the engineering activities for the Pickering RFBR Project related to mechanical, civil, electrical and instrumentation & control interferences and services. This role involves managing a team of engineers across various disciplines to ensure the successful execution of the project, meeting all technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Location - Pickering, Mississauga - ON
Your role within the team:
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of engineering solutions for the Pickering RFBR Project, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering activities within the overall project framework.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including CSA N285.0 and seismic qualifications.
- Develop and maintain engineering schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of engineering work to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering activities, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Ontario.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering management, preferably within the nuclear or power generation industry.
- Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards, including experience with CSA N285.0 and seismic qualifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with refurbishment, RFR or major capital projects in the nuclear industry.
- Familiarity with OPG's processes and standards.
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent).
