We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst (Hybrid) to join our Cambridge, ON team!
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for conducting financial analyses of a broad nature, affecting business units across Commercial Operations. This role performs a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and assisting with the monthly close and quarterly forecasting processes. This role is required to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results in accordance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), and in compliance with company guidelines and policies.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Responsible for consolidating segment results for various business units, including running monthly and quarterly actual and forecast financial statements and other reports. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of results.
• Responsible for reviewing and performing variance and trend analysis on actual financial results compared with budget and forecast. Follow up on variances as required.
• Assist business units with financial analysis on actual results and forecast to provide insight and improvements to the business.
• Responsible for reviewing and performing variance analysis on forecast results and commitments. Follow up on variances as required.
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecast and supporting business units and various departments with forecast updates.
• Reporting of actual and forecasted results and supplemental data in the consolidation software.
• Super user of the consolidation software, including (but not limited to) entering and processing data, creating and running reports and other ad hoc analysis.
• Preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations. Inventory accounting support as required.
• Preparation of labour and overhead rates.
• Responsible for capital plan reporting, including tracking and reporting on capital project actuals and forecast results, and working with business units on actual and forecasted capital projects as needed.
• Preparation of the rolling cash forecast.
• Perform financial analysis on financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments as required. Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects as needed.
• Maintain good record keeping by identifying sources of information, and assembling, verifying, reconciling, and backing up data and reports.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Prepare other external reporting requirements, including Statistics Canada, U.S. Census reporting as required.
• Recommends financial actions by assessing options in relation to organization goals.
• Support the Commercial Operations segment, Corporate Finance teams and other leadership team members with reporting requests and other ad hoc requests.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• Degree or diploma in a finance-related discipline complemented by a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• CPA (or equivalent) designation or in the process of attaining same.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
• Knowledge in SAP and OneStream is considered an asset.
• Shows leadership and initiation.
• Hands on, detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
• Proven problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communicator.
• Good relationship-building skills with a commitment to supporting a team.
• Proven record of process improvements.

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[82,000]] and $[[124,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
