About the Role:
As our Proposal Manager, you'll lead the preparation of proposal packages, including cost estimates, schedules, risk management, and commercial documents. You'll collaborate with various teams—Business Development, Legal, Commercial Services—to ensure consistency and adherence to corporate governance. Your expertise will be crucial in managing major proposal submissions and negotiating contracts with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Preparation:
Direct and oversee the creation of major bid proposals, ensuring alignment with company policies. Lead contract negotiations and chair Pricing Approval Request (PAR) meetings.
- Commercial Support:
Develop accurate cost estimates, manage risk, and evaluate Terms & Conditions (T&C) to balance competitiveness and risk. Assist with commercial claims and subcontracting T&C.
- Process Ownership:
Supervise Proposal Managers, Contracts Managers, and Customer Service Representatives. Maintain standardized processes, templates, and documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education & Experience:
Post-secondary degree in Engineering/Technical field or MBA preferred. 5-10 years of related experience in project management or proposal management.
- Skills:
Strong relationship-building, negotiating, and dispute resolution skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work under pressure and manage tight schedules.
- Leadership:
Experience in team supervision, resource management, and process improvement. PMP designation or working towards it is a plus.

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[87,000]] and $[[135,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
