Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role
As a member of the maintenance planning team, reporting to the senior planner, you will be committed towards helping Key Lake reach reliability excellence. You have a strong knowledge of maintenance planning best practices and of the maintenance work requirements of heavy and light duty mobile equipment. You will build relationships and work closely with maintenance supervisors and trades personnel, focusing on a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and digital transformation.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure mobile equipment maintenance activities are effectively planned and scheduled to deliver optimum equipment availability and workforce utilization.
- Develop complete work order packages, manage labour availability and material delivery.
- Contribute to asset reliability through various continual improvement efforts.
- Create and modify work plans that improve efficiencies of job execution and equipment reliability.
- Follow-up on completed work reports to ensure that equipment records, bills of materials, and standard job plans are updated and continuously improving for future use.
- Be responsible for backlog management, reporting and follow up.
- Assist with interpreting key performance indicators. Assist with bills of materials and equipment data, preparing reports and scheduling support.
Required:
- Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson heavy duty, automotive or truck and transportation mechanic trade certificate
- A minimum of five years of maintenance scheduling and planning experience in an industrial setting
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Strong computer and technical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills, working with various levels in the organization
- Experience with a computer maintenance management system such as SAP
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Previous lead hand/supervisory experience
- Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification, CMRP designation or equivalent
- Knowledge of asset management, reliability, and maintenance execution best practices
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodology, such as LEAN, and/or Six Sigma training
