Field of Study: Successful completion of secondary school (Grade 12) with experience in a related discipline (e.g. Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry or Physics) is preferred. Candidates need to be currently enrolled in a program to be considered for this position.

What you will be doing:
- Working with System Operations Specialists, to understand and resolve technical issues that affect reliable plant operation. This work can involve observation and investigation of facility conditions; reading and interpreting system technical flow-sheets, drawings, and manuals; and interpreting technical information.
- Supporting System Operations Specialists in implementing technical improvements or projects within the facility that promote Operations Excellence.
- Providing support to the Operations team completing technical administrative tasks, such as initiating or closing out engineering changes, or preparing relevant work plans necessary to support facility operations
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education/ Experience
- Successful completion of secondary school (Grade 12) with experience in a related discipline (e.g.Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry or Physics) is preferred. Candidates need to be currently enrolled in a program to be considered for this position.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- An understanding of an operations environment, and a safe work ethic.
- Effective communicate skills (verbally and written) to interact with a variety of groups.
- Utilize data processing software (i.e. Excel, Matlab) to trend and analyze data.
- An understanding of fluid-dynamics, chemistry, thermodynamics, basic mechanical physics, and mathematics.
- Critical thinking skills to aid in the interpretation of information, and separate primary and ancillary issues to identify solutions.
- Perform routine field walk downs and investigation.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, professional conduct, and the ability to excel as a member of a working team that strives to support the overall facility mission to process radioactive liquid waste.
- Strong ability to work in a team environment, interacting with a wide array of personnel from various disciplines.
- Possess the ability to effectively manage their time.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status, which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
