About your next challenge as Lead, Project management :
The Lead, Project management will serve as the liaison between Engineering, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Test Site, Supply Chain and Finance departments to manage the power projects contracts throughout its lifecycle (project startup, design development, procurement, testing through to close out phases).
The Lead, Project management will be responsible for the development of execution plans, schedule & resource requirements, work breakdowns, team tasking and tracking. He/she is responsible to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes. Will also be responsible for assigned projects and processes within job area. In addition, he/she is responsible to maintain standard reporting of revenues, budgets and program reviews to the project management office (PMO).
What you will do:
- Ensures major projects and programs are managed across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
- Lead strategic projects; and provide support with bids and proposal.
- Provide guidance and make decisions on project issues
- Ensures compliance with internal program procedures and project control guidelines.
- Interfacing and managing relationships and expectations with Domestic and International customers.
- Liaise with all stakeholders and departments to ensure technical, schedule and budget compliance;
- Management of suppliers/subcontractors and manufacturers of products for the projects
- Evaluate project risk and develop mitigation plans, as required;
- Review project expenditure, cash collection and EAC forecasts;
- Prepare and submit monthly progress reports;
- Lead and participate in Internal monthly project status reviews;
- Keep management fully informed on progress.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through a combination of education and experience. Must have practical knowledge of project management;
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, commerce or management;
- Minimum 5 years of work-related experience;
- Strong Familiarity knowledge and expertise with Controls for industrial applications will be an asset;
- Familiarity with various standards pertaining to nuclear applications would be an asset;
- Familiarity with controls systems for industrial applications, specifically hardware design, testing, installation and support would be an asset;
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills both in French and English ;
- Organized and structured approach with the ability to manage own time effectively while operating across multiple projects ;
- Demonstrable experience in project scheduling, reporting and work package management;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- PMP certification is desirable.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
