McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role
As a member of the maintenance planning team, you will provide insight for all maintenance and operations related contractor activities, ensuring adherence to the standardized contractor management programs. You will be responsible for the efficient use of contractor resources by analysing manpower requirements for ongoing projects and adapting project schedules to optimize project activities.
In this role, you will:
- Act as the primary site liaison between Cameco Corporation and various contractors.
- Provide assistance in the creation of contract packages and administration.
- Coordinate all contractor on-boarding and off boarding activities.
- Arranging logistics to bring contractors to site.
- Manage and report on budget and schedule progress. Provide support to the document control process.
Required:
- Journeyperson certificate or an engineering technologist diploma
- A minimum of six years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, prioritizing and organizational skills
- Able to work with minimal direction within a multi-functional team
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Certification in project management or construction management
- Previous SAP experience
