AtkinsRéalis is hiring a skilled and experienced Program Cost Controller to join our team. This position reports to the Program Controls Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cost reporting, analyzing program risks, and ensuring accurate financial reporting within large, mission-critical infrastructure projects. This role requires a deep understanding of cost control, financial analysis, and risk management principles, as well as proficiency in relevant software tools.
Location – Toronto, ON
Your role within the team:
- Manage cost reporting with accurate and timely information on budget, commitments, forecasts, trends, variances, progress, performance, risk and opportunity, contingency, and cash flow.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of program risks during execution, working closely with Program Controls to optimize contingency strategies.
- Monitor costs against agreed-upon budgets, schedules, and contractual deliverables within and across large, mission-critical projects.
- Monitor the statistical and trend analysis of contracts and their payouts.
- Conduct reviews and audits of non-contract costs, labor and expense reports, and submits adjustments to finance to ensure complete and accurate information.
- Perform Earned Value Management, including the provision of analysis and management reports to summarize and explain key variances.
- Ensure all financial reporting is accurate and timely, supporting effective decision-making and project management.

The ideal candidate:
- Recognized degree in quantity surveying, cost and commercial management, project management, or related relevant field.
- Min 10 yrs experience within Cost Management., control, QS or project accounting on large scale projects
- Experience in cost control, financial analysis, risk management and reporting principles and practices in large, complex multibillion-dollar and multi-project construction and infrastructure environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other cost management software tools and applications to document and illustrate cost performance.
- Project Management / Cost Management / Project Controls accreditation e.g. PMI, AACE, APM, RICS would be an asset.
