The Role
As a key member of Cameco’s supply chain materials management group, the manager, materials management processes, is responsible for Cameco’s business processes related to materials management (warehousing), as well as supporting technologies, to ensure they meet business requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Responsible for the definition, design, implementation and upkeep of materials management processes including all governance documentation
- Own management materials aspect of the operational reliability self-assessment tool and mentor all personnel having roles and responsibilities in executing the processes
- Using various data sources (e.g. SAP, dashboards) and technologies to monitor the performance of materials management processes, looking to identify, communicate, and address areas for improvement with site leaders on issues
- Provides consultancy services to sites and corporate departments in the areas of materials management. You will act as Cameco's authority and gatekeeper of technologies used to support materials management processes
- Organize and chair the materials management community of practice, keeping records of meetings, issues, and actions
Required:
- Diploma in warehouse management or related technical field
- Minimum eight years of related experience in warehouse techniques and methodologies. Experience in building relationships across different parts of the organization related to the portfolio of warehouse management
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Recommended:
- APICS, SCMP designation is preferred
- Experience with SAP S4, change management, warehouse, and maintenance
