Overview
AtkinsRéalis, in collaboration with its partners, is proud to have won the project for the extension of Montréal's Blue Line of the metro, estimated at over $2.6 billion. This extension will include approximately 5.8 km of tunnel and the addition of five (5) stations east of the current Saint-Michel station: Pie-IX, Viau, Lacordaire, Langelier, and Anjou (terminus).
The project also includes the addition of two metropolitan bus terminals, a metropolitan park-and-ride facility, and a pedestrian tunnel connecting to the future rapid bus service on Pie-IX Boulevard. Several operational infrastructures will be built to ensure the operation of this new section, including a metro train garage, an attachment center, a service center bringing together station infrastructure maintenance teams, and a district post.
This Blue Line extension will contribute to the city's growth thanks to its sustainable nature, supporting public transit development and improving service and traffic flow for users.
