Electrician (CAMH Building Maintenance)

The Maintenance Electrician for AtkinsRéalis (Operations and Maintenance) reports to the Sr. Facility Manager on site and to the site Contract Manager for CAMH Facility O&M Inc.
Completes and or directs contractors in completion of all code related electrical activity on site. Ensures approved client requests for changes, repairs or safety related issues are completed as needed.
The Electrician has the lead role in the Fire System maintenance, testing and reporting requirements. Executing the required Fire Drills and documentation of any fire system incident reporting and corrections as needed.
The CAMH Facility O&M Inc location operates 24/7 on rotating shifts as required.

Your role within the team:
- Performs preventive maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and components according to a preventive maintenance master plan.
- Complete the required actions deemed necessary following the completion of preventive maintenance tasks or the failure of a component; maintains the replacement parts inventory and the CMMS.
- Responds to service call from customers, performs related tasks and performs the required follow-up.
- Escorts various contractors and supervises their work.
- Makes sure that the Occupational Health and Safety and the Environment legislation, standards, policies, procedures, and practices are followed.
- Works overtime as required.
- Additional duties as needed include performing basic carpentry, minor plumbing work, general equipment maintenance of Air Handling Units, Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Water Treatment Activities and specific Health and Safety checks.
- Support for ensuring a clean and organized work environment not limited to the BAS room, all mechanical, electrical, storage rooms including the central utility plant.
- Maintain detailed records of all pertinent information re: work assignments and client demand events on site using QFM software and the specific end use logbooks on site.
- Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate:
• Electrician trade certificate with a class C certification.
• Minimum of (3) years related experience.
• Knowledgeable of the Windows environment, Excel, Word, Access.
• AutoCAD and Visio are an asset.
• High motivation, customer orientation, team spirit, resourcefulness and flexibility are desired.
• Strong Knowledge of the Fire system (maglocks, smoke detectors, fire alarms and monitoring systems).
