The Position:
We’re on the hunt for an ETL/ELT Data Engineer/MTS on our Robotics & Space Operations team at our Brampton office.
As our Data Engineer/MTS, you will be instrumental in using your skill and experience to design, implement, maintain custom, on-prem ETL/ELT pipelines to process structured and unstructured data.
Job Responsibilities:
• Elicit requirements from various stakeholders/documents.
• Analyze and understand functional and non-functional data requirements
• Create and maintain scalable data pipeline architecture to meet system needs
• Build and maintain custom, on-prem ETL/ELT pipelines built in-house to process structured and unstructured data
• Develop test strategies and implement frameworks to test different aspects of the data pipeline
• Identify data quality issues and root causes; implement solutions
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data processing
• Build and maintain data analysis and trending tools to stakeholder needs
• Ensure designs are documented and well communicated.
• Other duties as will be assigned from time to time by management or a team lead.
Required Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer
• Scripting languages such as python.
• Experience with C# and .NET framework development
• Proficient in SQL and MS SQL database
• Experience in front-end development using JavaScript, React.js is a nice to have
• Continuous Integration / Build Automation with Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps
Beneficial Skills/Experience:
• MATLAB scripts
• Familiarity with tools like Visual Studio,
• version control tools (eg GIT)
• Continuous integration/build automation
Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the Reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and be able to obtain higher clearances.

The compensation range for this position is $95,000- $120,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
