The Role
Cameco has an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a highly skilled group in the support of the corporation’s operational accounting. Working within a group of professionals, you will undertake various types of analytical and reporting work. You will also be given the opportunity to travel to our northern operations and work closely with the site management teams.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with the site management team and provide financial expertise.
- Contribute to the strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting of the operations.
- Compile, analyze and report operational and financial information for internal and joint venture stakeholders.
- Participate in the monthly close, including the completion of monthly schedules and reconciliations.
Required:
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation;
- bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or a related field;
- five to 10 years of relevant work experience;
- knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; and
- regular travel to northern Saskatchewan operations.
Recommended:
- ability to prioritize assignments, manage multiple deadlines and organize work independently;
- experience using ERP software (SAP);
- high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel; and
- results-oriented, proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
