Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. The Role
Cameco is seeking an organized and detail-oriented scheduler to join our Technical Services sustaining projects team. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team that values expertise and collaboration, while working in a supportive environment with the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects. You will leverage your expertise in scheduling principles to create, maintain, and manage project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of key projects. Your ability to identify risks early and keep projects on track will be vital to the team’s success.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and manage project schedules for sustaining, equipment, and non-routine maintenance projects.
- Contribute to schedule risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure schedules are created and maintained in compliance with standard procedures, with a focus on high-quality planning.
- Facilitate weekly schedule progress meetings and provide in-depth schedule analysis, highlighting critical paths, potential risks, and impacts on future milestones.
- Conduct schedule impact assessments in response to project changes and proactively adjust timelines.
Required:
- diploma in project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field;
- five to eight years of relevant experience in scheduling, planning, project management, or cost estimating/control in an EPCM environment;
- equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
- proficiency with scheduling software;
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders;
- strong analytical skills to identify schedule discrepancies and recommend adjustments;
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines; and
- willingness to travel occasionally to site locations.
Recommended:
- microsoft project certification, PMP, PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP); and
- experience with Microsoft Project, Contruent G2 and/or SAP S4 an asset.
