These are permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you are the face of Human Resources across the organization. In this role you will interface with all levels of employees, providing quality expertise and guidance to your clients. Supporting multiple programs across the organization, you will work collaboratively with the Human Resources team to deliver high quality programs and provide feedback to the division to make continuous improvements. With a breadth of knowledge in Human Resources practices you will be able to effectively partner with the line and provide strategic support to meet the business needs and drive results.
What will you be responsible for?
Act as strategic partner to the Bruce Power leadership team on all Human Resources related matters
Direct and guide the implementation of the HR strategy including leadership and organizational capacity
Partner with Client Groups to translate business needs into HR requirements and monitor internal people trends that may impact a business area’s work programs
Lead and facilitate an integrated approach to employee development, talent management, succession planning and personal development to meet current and future business needs
Identify, manage and develop the talent pipeline in Client Groups through the use of talent management, recruitment, performance management, leadership development and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Drive discussions related to workforce planning and organization design changes and provide recommendations to enable a diverse robust talent pipeline
Support leaders in performance management which includes investigations
Partner with leaders to promote and support employee wellness offerings
Provide advice and counsel the business regarding the resolution of escalated employee relation and labour issues
Consult with business leaders to diagnose current and future HR needs and developing a strategy for resolution
Drive and champion change management within client groups
Knowledge and Skills
Sound knowledge and understanding of strategic Human Resources processes
Ability to maintain objectivity in discussing issues
Strong interpersonal, team, and leadership skills
Ability to develop and enhance relationships with employees at all levels
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience coaching senior leaders
Strong negotiating skills
Ability to balance and prioritize heavy workload and multiple projects/tasks
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Strong analytical skills and creative problem solving ability to support design of innovative solutions to client challenges
High personal standards of integrity
Ability to handle highly sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
Education and Experience
4 Year University Degree in a related field such as Business, Commerce or Human Resources or by having the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
CHRP designation is strongly preferred
Minimum of 6-8 years related work experience
Prior experience working in a unionized environment
