About Us
Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. The Role
As part of Cameco’s Community Relations program, we are seeking a full-time community relations liaison to work out of the community of Patuanak. This position’s primary responsibility will be to the English River First Nation.
In this role, you will:
- Support implementation of the English River First Nation Collaboration Agreement, focused on workforce and business development, community investment, community engagement and environmental stewardship.
- Deliver presentations to high school and post‑secondary students, maintain a skills database, support skill‑development strategies, and assist long‑term contractors with recruitment of local members and residents.
- Liaise with Cameco mine sites, English River First Nation, including operation and community visits.
- Represent Cameco at Chief/council and community meetings.
- Answer inquiries related to the operations and coordinate logistical plans and provide Dene translations and emcee meetings as required.
Required:
- grade 12 and two to three years of relevant experience;
- proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat;
- ability to speak Dene and English;
- team player with excellent communication and organizational skills;
- valid class 5 driver’s license; and
- ability to travel frequently on short notice.
Recommended:
