The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join MDA Space’s Business Transformation team and report directly to the Sr. Manager, Business Transformation. In this role you will drive large‑scale change by gathering and translating business requirements, mapping current state and future state processes, and recommending automated, people‑centric solutions that deliver world‑class process and system improvements. You will create and execute change‑management plans, secure stakeholder agreement across all departments, and keep employees informed, engaged and empowered throughout each transformation wave. What You'll Do
- Change Management:
- Develop and implement change management plans to support mobilization and sustainable adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies.
- Business Analysis:
- Conduct thorough business analysis to identify areas for improvement, define business requirements, and develop solutions to support transformation initiatives.
- Work with the larger Business Transformation and Operational Excellence teams to implement improvements across all of MDA Space.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including senior leaders, functional leaders, and subject matter experts, to understand business needs, gather requirements, and communicate project plans and progress.
- Solution Development:
- Propose and develop solutions to address business needs, including process improvements, technology enhancements, and organizational changes.
- Assess future state business needs and document new processes to provide focused improvement opportunities
- Requirements Definition:
- Analyze current state processes and tool using various means of information gathering such as interviews, workshops, and observations.
- Define and document future state requirements, including functional and non-functional requirements, to support solution development.
- Benefits Realization:
- Work with stakeholders to identify and measure benefits realization, including cost savings, efficiency gains, and improved customer satisfaction.
Who You Are
- 8 to 10 years of experience and a post-secondary education in a relevant field such as engineering, process improvement, business, finance, or related
- A people-centric change manager (Prosci certification or similar is an asset)
- Experience developing and delivering communications and training programs (e.g., change communications, user guides)
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑change environment where situations are fluid and constantly evolving.
- A problem solver who can devise a solution and lead implementation
- Experience with continuous improvement techniques, including Six Sigma, DMAIC, TQM, Lean, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodology.
- Ability to analyze workflow and process flow diagrams and interpret process dependencies
- An innovator who brings new ideas, capabilities, and applications to the project team
- Strong attention to detail with a desire to learn and grow with an organization
- Someone who can go out into the organization to collect and compile a lot of information from subject matter experts into a recommendation to be implemented
- Demonstrates interpersonal competence including reliability, consistency, flexibility and adaptability in day-to-day interactions
- Excited to learn by working alongside experts in many different fields
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
