In support of achieving excellence and business results through safe, reliable operations, our Organizational Effectiveness Department is currently hiring for a Performance Improvement Coordinator.
The Performance Improvement Coordinator will act as a SPOC for line organizations regarding the Corrective Action Program including conducting root cause investigations and identifying associated trends providing recommendations for path forward. Train others in areas regarding Corrective Action Plan, SCR activities and MAXIMO.

This is a term position which may be for a period of up to 60 months, offers a competitive compensation package and is located on-site in Tiverton, Ontario.

What will you be responsible for?
Act as a SPOC for line organizations regarding the Corrective Action Program:
Direct Line Managers and Initiators regarding SCR standard expectations.
Provide subject matter expertise for Root Cause investigations.
Mentor and Coordinate Root Cause investigations for line management.
Mentor and Coordinate C-Apparent Cause Evaluation and C-Fix activities in support of Line management.
Review SCRs daily for quality, significance level, resolution category, EO manager.
Trend Coding of SCRs. Assign, analyze, identify emerging trends, initiate trend SCRs based on analysis.
Monitor and report on Performance Metrics for Line.
Ensure all Corrective Actions to Prevent Recurrence are properly characterized and managed in Action Tracking.
Monitor Action Tracking to ensure Corrective Action Plans and Assignments have appropriate oversight and attention.
Provide orientation / training for line management regarding Corrective Action Plan / SCR activities.
Evaluate Corrective Action effectiveness.
Promote the culture of learning in which the daily use of OPEX information is considered beneficial and important for achieving and maintaining outstanding performance.
Support line managers (at all levels), in incorporating the use of OPEX.
Screen OPEX information received from the Senior Advisor - OPEX, for specific applicability to staff in their functional area and ensure information is received timely to functional areas.
Knowledge and Skills:
Requires a working knowledge of the basic science and associated mathematics, and other technical subjects, to provide technical advice and judgment to exercise sound technical skills in the analyzing and associated trends
Requires experience in root cause analysis, methodologies and procedures.
Requires experience in analyzing emerging trends and make recommendations.
Education and Experience
This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired either through the completion of Grade 12 (XII) plus three (3) years further concentrated study
A period of over 8 years and up to and including 10 years is considered necessary to gain this experience
