Registry - Office Support (12-Month Contract)

We are looking for a Registry - Office Support (12-Month Contract) for our Peterborough, Ontario site. BWXT NEC's Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions group is involved in the design, manufacture, development, testing, parts supply, and service of on-power refueling, reactor maintenance, and nuclear medicine delivery tooling sold around the world. We are the original designer of the automated systems that allow 24/7 on power refueling of CANDU reactors and aim to solve some of the Nuclear Industry’s most challenging problems. Today, BWXT’s equipment is being used in most of the nuclear power plants in Canada and is critical to delivering carbon free energy production and lifesaving medical isotopes.

Responsibilities:
- Provide Configuration Management of technical drawings and specifications.
- Issue drawing bulletins, BoMs, and technical documents.
- Data input/inquiry into local and customer databases.
- Keyboarding/revising technical documentation.
- Review/Quality control of documentation packages.
- Follow procedures while ensuring high quality output.
- Actively participate in learning activities and quickly gain knowledge and understanding and apply new skills.
- Order office supplies.
- Copying and scanning of documents.
- Processing, assembling, checking and shipping engineering packages.
- Processing confidential employee information.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma.
- Minimum two years’ clerical experience.
- Experience supporting a multi-disciplined engineering team.
- Intermediate computer skills including MS PowerPoint and Excel and advanced MS Word skills.
- Ability to meet demanding productivity goals.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively and maintain efficient organization.
- Ability to perform repetitive work without losing effectiveness.
- Ability to respond quickly to requests, take independent action and willingness to go above and beyond in order to expedite in a timely fashion.
- Proficient written and spoken English language skills.
- Knowledge of Procurement practices.
- Able to multi-task in a demanding environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Customer service oriented – take action to meet customer needs and concerns and seek to understand customers.
- Able to operate and maintain photocopy, large format print, and other business machines.
- Knowledge of filing routines.
Desired:
- Knowledge of Livelink document management software.
- Advanced Adobe Acrobat editing skills.
- Applicable post-secondary education.
