They provide data analysis, aggregation, and reporting expertise for managing large volumes of data received from contractors. Their work is used to support project planning decisions and inform stakeholders, so accuracy and attention to detail are essential. They have an ability to implement best practices for data management and dashboard reporting in addition to supporting GIS and other management reporting systems. They are able to manage multiple deadlines and communicate technical issues into relevant business terms.
What will you be doing !
- Participating in and contributing to the development of processes, for analysis of project data, to meet all applicable PHAI project requirements and achieve an acceptable level of data integrity and data quality for reporting purposes and mapping capabilities.
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand data requirements and create comprehensive documentation including data mapping and process flows of data transmitted and shared with external sources.
- Working with teams on data validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of project data.
- Performing quality checks to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy. Reporting issues and gaps to project teams, working with the project teams and contractors to address.
- Monitoring data freshness and generating reports and/or data visualizations, as requested by project teams and stakeholders.
- Supporting project teams by ensuring report parameters are accurate and valuable for decision making processes.
- Performing quality checks on reports to ensure accurate data processing.
- Presenting reports to stakeholders/teams and communicating findings in a professional manner while explaining data processes/system capabilities.
- Recommending reporting improvements.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for :
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree with focus on computer science, commerce, statistics, science or other similar subject where computations, excel and data are managed.
- Experience
- Five (5) plus years in a data analyst role.
- Three (3) plus years supporting project teams.
- Experienced in dashboard reporting or data visualization.
- Well experienced in administration of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Online and/or Portal.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to maintain a cordial working relationship at all levels within the organization and contractors.
- Effective at building relationships and strong interpersonal skills, a team player.
- Effective written skills to for documentation.
- Highly skilled in planning and prioritizing work to meet various deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet project demands and last-minute requests.
- Quick learner and highly adaptable to changes in processes, systems, or technologies.
- Strong questioning attitude with logical thinking, must be detail oriented, accurate, and precise.
- Knowledge of advanced tools and features in Excel for data management and of database design principles and SQL.
- Well experienced in managing, manipulating, and presenting large datasets.
- Well experienced in data quality processes, data validation and data aggregation
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
