What will you be doing!
- Initiating, tracking, reviewing and processing security screening requests for all new and existing personnel via the automated security screening platform.
- Conducting security checks and verification processes per policies, regulations and standards to support security screening submissions.
- Updating and maintaining associated security systems utilized for personnel screening.
- Conducting reviews of the personnel security file utilizing checklists to ensure all security screening requirements are met and retained on the electronic file.
- Authorizing the granting of the security clearance upon completion of the review.
- Ensuring personnel security files are managed electronically per policy.
- Coordinating and monitoring workflows to support security screening processes.
- Focusing on providing quality and accurate deliverables.
- Analyzing security check results and escalating those that warrant a review from the Manager.
- Interacting discretely, tactfully and with consideration to extract the required personal information.
- Working independently under minimal supervision and establishing one's own priorities to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- College diploma in a related discipline (e.g. Office Administration, Business) with 2-4 years of related experience.
- Experience
- Experience in office administration and business operations is preferred. Knowledge of security screening practices and applicable standards and regulations is an asset.
- Knowledge of Treasury Board Standard on Security Screening.
- Knowledge of CNL’s Protection of Information Standard.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment that requires initiative, confidentiality and time management to meet deadlines.
- Apply detail-oriented practices to ensure the accuracy of information.
- Ability to provide quality and accurate deliverables.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Level 2 Secret requires aminimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
- Extensive data entry into personnel security screening systems.
- Visual concentration is required for reviewing security screening information, analyzing security check results, and reviewing submissions in the ServiceCNL platform.
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Working office is located in a building with no windows.
- Ultraviolet lighting.
