Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. The Role
The Cameco Technical Services team is looking for a student who thrives on tackling diverse challenges in a unique environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the Saskatchewan mining operations.
In this role you will:
- Assist with researching, creating, and implementing detailed preventive maintenance plans focused on Reliability and Mechanical Integrity.
- Assist in analyzing equipment failures and determining strategies for preventing future failures.
- Review inspection reports and recommendations to help determine corrective actions related to fixed and rotating equipment.
- Create reports and presentations to present failure modes, proposed corrective actions, celebrate successes and detail improvements.
- Although this position is in Saskatoon, you may be required to make occasional trips to Cameco’s operations in northern Saskatchewan.
- Learn new skills related to equipment reliability and integrity across multiple operations using advanced analytical tools and software.
Required:
- You are entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in mechanical engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
- You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco. Occasional travel to the northern Saskatchewan sites
Recommended:
- Excellent communication, data analysis and compilation, and organization skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
