Procurement Quality Manager, RFBR Steam Generators

The Procurement Quality Manager, RFBR Steam Generators reports functionally to the Quality Assurance Director - Supply Chain and Project specific to Pickering RFBR Project Director and is assigned the responsibility, authority, and organizational freedom, to initiate, implement and control the Quality Assurance activities in their area of responsibility.
This role will be based in Pickering, ON.
Your role within the team:
- Maintaining the supplier qualification program through planning for the performance of supplier audits and monitoring the status of supplier qualifications including maintaining the supplier qualification database.
- Managing quality surveillance activities on suppliers’ work.
- Supporting preparation and maintenance of procurement quality procedure.
- To assist Director of Quality, Pickering RFBR and the project team in ensuring satisfactory performance regarding the Project Quality Objectives.
- To represent the project team on matters pertaining to procurement quality assurance.
- To ensure that trained, qualified, competent, and as required certified, personnel are assigned to perform quality related activities.
- To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to such problems through designated channels.
- To verify and confirm implementation and effectiveness of solutions.

The ideal candidate:
- University degree in Engineering.
- Experience in major multi-discipline tasks and interacting with other disciplines and external parties (e.g. Customers, suppliers, regulatory and jurisdictional authorities).
- Minimum of 10-15 years practical working experience in a relevant nuclear field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment and techniques.
- Working knowledge of CSA N285.0, CSA N 299, CSA N286-12, and ASME codes.
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to make a substantial contribution to the execution of department and project initiatives.
- Must possess sound judgment and diplomacy in managing project tasks.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Technical knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
- Good computer skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
