Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. The Role
The asset management and reliability team has a temporary opportunity reporting to the project manager, asset information management, to be part of the team and support Cameco’s operations. The asset master data position is responsible for developing and maintaining good quality asset master data in Cameco’s enterprise asset management system (S4 HANA) including functional location and equipment objects, bills of material, material masters, and maintenance plans for which detailed work instructions may be required. These would be for operating sites, and for new assets as part of new projects.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain SAP functional location, equipment objects, material masters and bill of materials (spare parts), and maintenance plans in SAP to align with standards.
- Maintain existing equipment data and maintenance plans in SAP-PM (preventative maintenance) based on changes requested.
- Create new equipment entries in other systems such as the APM system and various condition monitoring systems (e.g. vibration system).
- Perform data validation and/or extraction and reporting for various stakeholders. Review technical documents, drawings, manuals, and other information sources.
Required:
Diploma in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation technology
Five to eight years of relevant work experience with industrial equipment of the nature for which master data must be created and maintained, either as trades person, technician, planner, or designer.
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Understanding of electro-mechanical systems
Advanced knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance and Microsoft Excel
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, single line diagrams etc.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and SharePoint
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Attention to detail, good team player and strong collaborator Travel to our operations in Northern Saskatchewan by aircraft on a need basis
Recommended:
- Experience with SAP LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) and SAP DMS (Document Management System)
- Experience with SAP S4
