METALLURGIST
Role Type: Fulltime, Permanent
Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
• Participate in the selection of key equipment affecting metallurgical performance or laboratory safety and efficiency as required.
- Provide support for the development of scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies, as well as executing and/or managing the
metallurgical components of projects aimed at enhancing the overall efficiency of processing operations.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the formulation of processes and criteria for various
geological deposits, ensuring their integration into detailed engineering activities.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, support budget development, and create other documents or presentations as
required.
- Participate in the monitoring and control of bulk processing or piloting campaigns.
- Build collaborative partnerships with internal teams and liaise effectively and in a timely manner with external laboratories,
contractors or consultants as required.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out by oneself or personnel in strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations and
protocols and exhibit best practices and behaviors related to both physical and psychological safety for oneself and colleagues
by performing all responsibilities and tasks in accordance with the Company’s established policies, protocols, and Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform other duties as assigned or as may be required.
The successful candidate shall:
- Initially perform work activities out of Denison’s regional office in Saskatoon on a Monday to Friday schedule with occasional
travel to project sites situated in the Northern Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan.
- Be willing and able to travel more frequently and for extended durations to meet project demands during the construction
phase of the Wheeler River Project.
- Be willing and able to transition to a permanently site-based role on a rotational work schedule at a remote field camp in the
Northern Athabasca Basin once construction at the Wheeler River Project is complete.
- Be responsible for arranging their own travel to a designated pick-up point on-route from Denison’s warehouse in Saskatoon
to the Project site. Denison provides meals and lodging while at the Project site and all required PPE.
- Understand that this role is subject to background verification checks as part of the pre-employment screening process and
as required thereafter in accordance with company policy.
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
