Materials Management Team Lead

The Material Management Team Lead will be responsible for managing the inventory team, ensuring accurate inventory records, and optimizing inventory processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to meet organizational goals.
Your role within the team:
- Lead and supervise the inventory team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, storing, and distributing inventory.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records using inventory management software.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Collaborate with purchasing to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast requirements, and optimize inventory levels.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and present inventory reports to management.
- Coordinate with procurement and the project to manage inventory levels and meet project demands.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the inventory team.

The ideal candidate:
- High school diploma or equivalent; education related to material management, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Team Lead or in a similar leadership role.
- Previous experience with inventory software roll-out is an asset but not required.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
