Project Engineering Coordinator – Instrumentation

The Project Engineering Coordinator – Instrumentation will report to the Project Manager or the General Manager and will be responsible for the coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction work related to Instrumentation and control discipline. This role will require continuous communication with all project team members, and will be responsible for identifying, planning, and implementing various Instrumentation and control scopes of work.
For growth of the candidate, we may also rotate the successful employee through short-term assignments in other Candu Energy or AtkinsRéalis Nuclear project teams, to expose them to broader parts of the organization.
Your role within the team:
- Responsible for helping implement the project Instrumentation and Control (I&C) schedule and track budget for assigned engineering, procurement, construction segments of the project.
- Coordinates the preparation and delivery of project I&C deliverables to ensure deliverables are submitted on schedule.
- Provides status and progress reports in support of the I&C Technical Engineering Manager and Technical Lead.
- Liaise with key stakeholders as required generally including engineering, construction, quality client & subcontractors.
- Maintain a positive relationship with client project counterparts.
- Coordinates with other Engineering disciplines (Mechanical, process) to ensure that the technical documents are prepared and reviewed in support of the project.
- Ensure work is performed within quality program requirements.
- Employee may be assigned to short-term field service assignments on Candu Field Services projects, typically during a customer’s outages. During these assignments, the employee may be requested to perform work in a radiological work environment, once trained and qualified, and under the supervision of radiation protection personnel.

The ideal candidate:
- University degree or equivalent, BSc in Electrical or Instrumentation and Control Engineering is an asset.
- Minimum two years of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Experience supporting various phases of project including Design, procurement, installation and construction.
- Good understanding of typical I&C design deliverables including instrument data sheets, instrument list, loop wiring diagrams and field instrument installation details.
