AtkinsRealis Hydropower & Geotechnical department has exciting full-time career opportunities for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer-In-Training. Our civil engineers work with our clients to design and deliver customized solutions for hydroelectric projects.
Your role within the team:
- Establish design criteria related to the area of assignment, based upon specified contractual requirements and in line with good engineering practices.
- Design open excavations, grading plans, low volume roads, retaining walls, stormwater management, cofferdams, open channels, including supporting calculations, specifications, volume estimation and assisting in supervising the preparation of drawings.
- Provision of field support during construction.
- Other tasks as required to support project goals and business activities including some occasion structural analysis and design work.

The ideal candidate:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
- EGBC Professional Engineer eligibility for registration as E.I.T.
- Strong computer skills and a working of Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- A strong technical capability and the ability to work in a team environment.
- The ability to handle multiple diverse assignments successfully in a consulting firm environment.
- The ability to perform as a key member of an inter-disciplinary project team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Expected compensation for this role is between $60,000 - $70,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, location, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
