McArthur River - McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
Position and Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all gasoline, diesel and propane powered automotive equipment.
- Perform inspections and service equipment as specified by preventative maintenance work orders.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Assist heavy duty mechanics in the maintenance of other mobile equipment.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson automotive service technician certificate;
- five years related experience in an industrial, mill or mining environment;
- Ford-trained mechanic and Ford Integrated Diagnostic Systems experience;
- rim and tire safety training; and
- work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Assets:
- recreation vehicle service technician certification;
- heady duty equipment technician certification; and
- SAP experience.
