Position and Responsibilities
As a Licensed Industrial Millwright, you’ll belong to our Technical Services group in our Port Hope plant. You’ll not only improve overall equipment effectiveness and breakdown recovery, but you’ll also implement ideas that lead to continuous improvement. From challenging your thinking to finding the reason for a problem, you’ll be part of a culture that’s committed to creating solutions and exceeding expectations every single day.
Role responsibilities include:
- Operate within a multi-skilled maintenance team to maintain the plant’s machinery and equipment, while working with process engineers to improve processes and minimize disruption to the production line.
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment unique to nuclear fuel fabrication.
- Perform preventive maintenance and other technical activities on highly automated manufacturing and facility equipment with standardized procedures to maintain equipment performance to achieve equipment uptime and production line targets.
- Support plant efforts in maximizing asset utilization by accurately documenting maintenance activities including time and materials utilizing SAP asset management system and identifying opportunities for operating improvements.
- This is a 3-shift rotating position, supporting an operation that is productive 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.
- This role requires participation in the Emergency Response Team (ERT), including completing ERT training.
Education and Qualifications
- Valid Ontario (433A) Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate of Qualification or Interprovincial Red Seal License
- Completion of Apprenticeship as a millwright with relevant work experience or five years of relevant work experience as a Licensed Millwright.
Assets
- Ability to work safely in a maintenance environment.
- Computer / SAP skills.

Wage: Starting hourly rate is $45.95. After 6 months of continuous employment, the rate increases to $48.92 per hour.
This position is eligible for the employee referral bonus.
