Position and Responsibilities
As a member of the SHEQ team, you are responsible for performing a variety of analyses. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter capable of working in a team environment who possesses a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- Post-secondary diploma (technician or technologist) in environmental, chemical or biotechnology
- Excellent working knowledge of good laboratory practices (GLP) and representative sampling techniques
- 4 years experience in an analytical laboratory involving techniques such as spectrophotometry, ICP-MS, X-ray fluorescence, high accuracy volumetric and gravimetric procedures is preferred. Must have working knowledge of current instrumental analysis
- Perform equipment and instrument calibrations according to establish procedures
- Ensure that documentation is complete in every aspect and all results are entered into the electronic laboratory information management system (LIMS)
- Ensures full compliance with the company’s health & safety and housekeeping policies
- Clear background check
