Accountabilities: How you will make an impact
- Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with Kinectrics policies and procedures.
- Provide support to the BRIMS team during Outage and Maintenance cycles at both Client sites or the Ontario Nuclear Services Facility (ONSF) under quality controlled procedures.
- Assist in the planning, assembly and maintenance of the BRIMS tooling equipment, processes, and systems.
- Support the preparations of field implementation procedures, inspection and test plans, operating manuals, etc
- Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, and escalate problems.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by following good quality and safety practices in all aspects of work performed. Maintain quality records.
- Outage/field execution work will be required.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you need to succeed:
- Successful completion of High School or equivalent plus 3 years concentrated study in Engineering Technology at a College of Applied Arts and Technology or Community College is required.
- 5 years related experience or equivalent advanced education
- Requires knowledge of mechanical components, visual inspection equipment, motion control hardware and other instrumentation to facilitate assembly, testing and maintenance of tooling devices and systems.
- Requires knowledge of mechanical systems theory and practice to undertake the design, assembly, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of various commercial and custom tooling.
- Requires knowledge of machine design and electricity
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products for test data analysis, charting and document preparation.
- 3-month minimum practical hands-on experience with tools and knowledge of mechanical tool assembly, troubleshooting and site deployment of BRIMS tooling considered an asset
- Strong written (technical and non-technical) and verbal communication skills
- Solid knowledge of Quality Assurance principles.
- Must be able to travel to customer sites and participate in nuclear outage support work.
- Demonstrate practice of excellent safety awareness and adherence to practices and procedures.
- Experience with nuclear site procedures and safety standards are considered an asset.
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a nuclear site security clearance.
